Houston...

Have you ever noticed that when someone comes up to you at work and says, "We have a problem...", what they really seem to mean is they think that YOU created a BIG problem (in their eyes) and now you damn well better come up with something clever fix it.

Why can't it just be approached as, "I noticed that the email said...and I'm wondering if that will really work - what was your plan for that?"

Nope, haven't heard that lately.

Curiosity

Are you Curious? Seth Godin talks about curiosity.

Key line from the video: For 7, 10, 15 years of school, you are required to not be curious. Over and over and over again, the curious are punished.

How can I continue to inspire curiosity while at the same time teaching respect and listening skills?
